The name emjaysquared was born out of a brief flirtation Margaret and I had with Amway 10 or 12 years ago. I am Murray John and my wife is Margaret Joy – one of our Amway up line – a surveyor by profession christened us M J Squared and the nick name seemed to stick.   We have stylised the name and used it in business for a time and now as part of the blog of our travels as grey nomads.

Before the start of our trip in 2010

We have traveled quite extensively with an extended trip in 2010 to the Northern Territory and Western Australia returning to our home in Queensland through Central Australia from Port Augusta in South Australia. Since that trip we have changed both our tow vehicle and our caravan and have enjoyed touring, Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia. In 2014 we travelled to Broken Hill and Port Augusta then straight up the Stuart Highway to the Three Ways, across to Mt Isa then down to Boulia, Bedourie and Birdsville.  Later in 2014 we travelled to the Tip of Cape York taking the caravan as far as Weipa.

The reason for writing this blog is to keep our family and friends up to date with where we are and what we are doing and to share the photographs we have taken during our travels.
